OK heres the scenario, I built my comp from scratch, got a Samsung combo drive, works fine, today I just received a NEC DVD-BURNER model ND-3550A. it came with no drivers and according to NECs site, I dont need any, so anyways I plug it into, etc, and theyre BOTH plugged in but the PC doesnt recognize the samsung anymore, when I got device manager only the NEC pops up, its as if the samsung was replaced, any suggestions???

Check to make sure the first one is set to master, and the other one set to slave. There is a small jumper that is set on two pins on the back of the drive to accomplish this. Usually a label on the drive itself tells how to set it.
