This Windows 2000 professional computer apparently picked up a problem somewhere along the way. I have no idea whats going on. I did a virus scan using Antivir and also used Spybot and nothing shows. Here's the problem....

When I am using a browser, and even when there is no browser up at all, things go crazy on the screen. Windows open, programs open and close, open windows resize, etc, etc. This happens at irregular intervals but frequently. Things just start bouncing around the screen. Moving the mouse during this bizarre happening makes things worse because more windows open and close.

Examples....I had Yahoo Messenger on today and open chat windows resized or closed, moved around the screen, etc. Next using a browser and using email, windows close or windows open like I was going to send an email but I didnt open the windows. No matter what I do, even if no programs are open at all, the main screen acts like I right clicked and these dialog windows open to change ths or that.

Anyway, there is no rhyme or reason to this.

I have tried Spybot, Antivir and Symantec and they show no viruses or trojans. Anyone know what the heck is going on? This is driving me nuts. I cant get anything done when this weird stuff starts.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
