I have a Dell Latitude D505 laptop running Win XP Pro. The user of this started getting Norton AV notifications (Threat found) for Trojan.ByteVerify. I tried the following:
1. Symantec AV scan......found nothing
2. Ad-Aware SE update and scan...found 16 instances...was able to remove all.
3. Spybot 1.3 update and scan....found 101 instances....was able to remove all.
4. Stinger.....found nothing.
5. CWShredder update and scan....found and removed "Look2me".
6. followed online instructions to clear java cache and IE temporary internet files.
All of this and the little b*stard won't go away....I ran Hijack this and will post the log below.
If anyone can help me it would make my day and I would be forever (or at least for a week or 2) in your debt. Thanks in advance.....Tech277
