Spyware blocker ?

I have heard of an application (or a program, is you will) that puts up a blockade against spyware an such "around" your computer. It blocks and stops all unknown "things" that wants to be downloaded or installed on the computer.

I have known, once upon a time, the name, but I have seemed to forgotten it, :whistling:

Does anyone know what Im talking about?
Whats the programs name?
Where can I download it?
