:tazz:

My outlook is freezing, quitting, etc. A little random, but it is mainly when I first open outlook. If it doesn't happen then, it occurs when I try to send or open attachments.

I get the message - Remote Procedure Call Failed. Only in Outlook. I then have to reboot and pray that I can get back into outlook at all. I have had very limited access due to this problem, and it is really affecting my business.

I have already lost two accounts due to this problem. Help!!!

Here is my hijack this log -

Hi davidbtracy,

That's a bummer about losing those 2 accounts. :tazz:

Move hijackthis into it's own permanent folder on your hard drive (Ex: C:\HJT). Run it from that location and place check marks in the following entries. Tell HijackThis to 'Fix checked' (make sure all windows except HijackThis are closed).

O2 - BHO: IE Update Class - {5B4AB8E2-6DC5-477A-B637-BF3C1A2E5993} - (no file)
O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbars\Restrictions present
O6 - HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbars\Restrictions present
O15 - Trusted Zone: *.finefind.nettraffic2cash.biz
O15 - Trusted Zone: *.frame.crazywinnings.com
O15 - Trusted Zone: *.frame.crazywinnings.com (HKLM)

This entry is a little interesting. Did you configure your computer to open Internet Explorer when you turn it on:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [iexplore.exe] C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

Next, download DelDomains.inf - Save it to your desktop. Then right-click it and select: Install (no need to restart)
Note: This will remove all entries in the "Trusted Zone" and "Ranges" also.

What your describing with Outlook could be tough to fix, but we'll try a few things. Do you have the Office CD? If so, you could put the CD in the cd drive, then from Outlook, click Help > Detect and Repair.

Next, go to http://office.micros...te/default.aspx and install any updates that it finds.

After a reboot, run hijackthis again and post a new log. If the Outlook problems continue, try to give me as many specifics as you can and we'll go from there.

Alright...it seems to have worked.

Yeah, I swear by all that is holy if I ever find the guys who write the viruses, it will really difficult to take the frustration and monetary loss out of their hides.

Thanks so much. I repaired Outlook (it wasn't letting me previously, not sure why) and it seems to be working properly.

Here is the newest hijack log -

Hi davidbtracy,

Hmmmm. Some of the entries are still there.

Boot your computer in safe mode, run hijackthis again, click Scan. Check the boxes next to these entries. Then close all windows except HijackThis. Tell HijackThis to 'Fix checked'.

O2 - BHO: IE Update Class - {5B4AB8E2-6DC5-477A-B637-BF3C1A2E5993} - (no file)

It doesn't appear as though your running any anti-virus programs. You can get a free virus program called AVG from http://www.grisoft.com.

Reboot your computer and post another hijackthis log.
