lcd screen anyone know how to fix or where to find out

i have a lcd which won't respond to the buttons on the bottom or the computer
the cable works
the backlight works
the screen is fine
but it seems that maybe the wires that control the screen are not pluged in or not connected properly not really sure what the problem is
maybe someone knows where i could look it up
