Well, Over the last few months my internet has slowed down alot. I started to get A TON of conection problms(sry for spelling) when playing BF2, also loading times and account verivacation for BF2 stared to take alot longer time to compleat.

And for donloads, I used to be up to 200+ Kb/sec. But now im down to 20 Kb/sec.

And for browsing the web, some pages take over a minute, then I click out, restart internet explorer and click on the same page and it starts right up again.

I relly need some help trying to get my internet back to the way it was. So if you can help out, Plz do!

Oh, And BTW,
I have Charter DSL

I just started looking at your log. Are you running Norton and McAfee anti-virus? You only need one. Please uninstall one. :whistling:

I cannot find anything in your log that is malware-related. You do have a great number of programs running on start-up, though.

run hijack this and put a check mark next to this one. it will eliminate it on start-up. It won't be deleted from your computer.

O4 - Global Startup: BigFix.lnk = C:\Program Files\BigFix\BigFix.exe<<resource hog

To decide which programs you don't want on start-up, go to this site:

www.answersthatwork.com

It will explain whether a program is necessary at start-up. the programs that are starting up when your computer starts up are followed by an 04, such as this one:

O4 - Global Startup: BigFix.lnk = C:\Program Files\BigFix\BigFix.exe<<resource hog

To delete it from start-up, go to start>>run>> and type in msconfig

Then go to the start-up entry and uncheck the items you don't want at start-up. Let me know if elminating an anti-viral helps as well as the hints on start-up entries. :whistling:

Are mcafee and Norton both antivirals or is one a firewall?

If you are unsure which ones to disable at start-up, you are more than welcome to run it past me. I will be out most of the day but should check back in tomorrow night late. :whistling:

If Norton has expired, you either need to uninstall it or use another antiviral. An antiviral that doesn't update, doesn't protect your computer. there are plenty of free anti-virals out there. I use grisoft and it works for me.

You can google these entries. I gave you definitions for a few of them.

NvCpl
nwiz
MssCli<<mcafee antispyware
SMDMon
jusched
PDVDSerc
RECGUARD
igfxpers
NvMcTray
igfxtray
hkcmd
ehtray
ccApp
realshed
qttask<<quick time task, don't need on start-up, can start it up when you need it.
LAUNCH~1
ypager<< yahoo, don't need on start-up, can start it up when you need it.
Core
PcSync2
zHotkey
shwiconem
NkbMonitor<<nikon camera? don't need on start-up, can start it up when you need it.
