download Everest Home

http://www.geekstogo...tion=show&id=13

unzip it, install it, and then save a report and ATTACH it to your next post

Freezing is often a result of two principal causes--heat, and bad memory

Also, do you know how to burn an iso image? I would like to do a memory test

I'd like you to go here
http://www.memtest.org/#downiso

get this
Download - Pre-Compiled Bootable ISO (.zip)

If you burned the image to a cd properly (an iso is a special file, you do not copy the image to a cd, you create a cd from it), you insert the cd into your pc and reboot it....when it restarts it will run a test on your memory by booting from the cd.

Let it make three passes at least and see if it comes up with errors

OK, this likely means that the hardware is OK - no guarantee, though

I've had RAM test good and not fail either. I have found several other examples of your problem with your motherboard and they have been ram issues

I would like you to pull one stick of memory out and see if the error repeats.

If it does, insert the other and remove the one that was still in before.

Repeat?

If yes, let's move on to BIOS

Your bios is version number 7 from 2004--the most recent is from Sept 2005 and is version 12. I woudl suggest an update from the asus site

While there, update all your drivers

I am still leaning to memory though
