I found a Best Data V92 external modem at the thrift shop and would like to know if it works. There is no voltage listed on the modem. I have several 9V AC and DC that I could try if I knew if they would work. BestData support does not answer email queries. Does anyone own one of these and if so could you please confirm the voltage required?

Hi and welcome to Geeks to Go. If you cannot identify the power requirements by examining the labels on the equipment and verify it is operational I would look elsewhere for a modem that you KNOW for sure works.

Geeks.com has a Best Data V92 external modem, and the advertised power consumption is "120 VAC, 60Hz ; 9V AC, 1000 mA".

At the bottom of this page they also state it is a 9v 1000ma PS.
