If it is something you have downloaded from the web, it is possible that the file was corrupted when you downloaded it and extracted it. If you download it a second time and have the same peoblem, it may have been corrupted when it was compressed, so try to find a different download location using google.

it's not corrupted! I've install it on Remote PC and no errors...

not sure.. I was going to install IVOS program and it wanted microsoft speech sdk.. and link.. i clicked and download it .. 70mb.. and when trying install it... this error

try dling it from the link i posted (if different from the original link) and see if it works better?

again..it unzips it.. and there is .MSI extension.. all the MSI i go start happened the error.

the suggestions from MS for this error are to make sure you have all the latest service packs..have you done a windows update recently?

try it man.. i've got windows installer 3.1 i download it 100 times... i won't format my windows ... god [bleep] it

Do you have a valid XP cd?
If so, place it in your CD ROM drive and follow the instructions below
Start > Run > cmd then type
sfc /scannow (note the space)
let this run untill you get a message saying it is complete.
SFC - system file checker, retrieves the correct version of the file from %Systemroot%\System32\Dllcache or the Windows installation source files, and then replaces the incorrect file.
If you want to see what was replaced, right click My Computer > manage, expand event viewer > system.
If so, place it in your CD ROM drive and follow the instructions below

I do this and so many things in my previous post since .. maybe 2 weeks... your colleauge says also this scann.. I've done it.. no difference.. maybe i should format
