Try this...

Right click on the HJT log file and choose "Rename"...change the name to dakota.txt and click outside the name box to set the name change. Then try to attach the file to your next reply.

Yes...it did!

Do you have two Anti Virus applications running at the same time? If you do, disable one of them and see if the hangs improve.

Also, there are some suspicious entries in the log. Please go to the Malware Forum and follow the instructions.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself...then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum. Be patient, the Malware Forum is a very busy place and a two or three day wait is not unusual. DO NOT REPLY TO OR BUMP YOUR OWN LOG. If it shows a reply it may be overlooked as one that is being worked on.

Then post a link to that topic here for me so I can follow along and see what the malware experts find.

Naw...it'll be a piece of cake... :whistling:

Run HiJackThis on the machine and save a new log to your desk top...this time, however, open the log and "Copy" the entire contents. Then go HERE and start a new topic giving a short description of the problem...then "Paste" the contents into you new topic in Malware.

If you have problems with the copy/paste, change the name of the log as you did earlier and attach it to the topic.
