Sometime during the defragment of my D drive, my internet service had went down. I have service through SBC with 2Wire. All lights were green except the local network light. I had assumed it may have been due to spyware/adware or somekind of virus. So, I ran the spyware/adware and virus software. There was a lot of spywar/adware found on the computer. After restarting the computer, the service still was down. Then I ran Winscok. That didn't work either. As instructed by the 2Wire information page, I checked to see if the adapter Ethernet was still on my computer. And it wasn't. How do I reinstall the Ethernet adapter? And how did it just disappear?
