I'm running Redhat 2.6.11-1.1369_FC4 dual boot with XP.

I'm having problems with the audio sound on redhat. Whenever I play a song from the internet or my own songs, I hear "static and bubbley sounds" everywhere. But on XP, the song plays normal as usual.

I also want to point out. When I play my own songs from the cd, there's not much static but if you turn it up a few notches you can hear it very well. But when I play "Online" songs, I hear A LOT of static.

Am I missing some drivers or something? What can I do to fix the audio sound in redhat?

*Nevermind I finally found the solution. Here it is:

Check to see if ESD is running (ps aux|grep esd) If it is, make sure
that RealPlayer is setup to use it (In RealPlayer's settings).

Also, try killing ESD (killall esd) and then restarting it (esd &). ESD
should make some beeps when it starts up. If it does, sound should be
working properly.
