Here are all the trojan horses that I know I have:
Trojan horse Dropper.Small.8.BC
Dropper.Small.13.AM
Downloader.Agent.9.D.
Downloader.Small.18.T

Also, I forgot to mention before, that when I go to delete any pictures, files, programs, etc. from my computer, it never shows anything in the recycle bin. My HijackThis log is at the top. I would greatly appreciate help.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Rustymilo

Welcome to geekstogo ;)

You have the latest version of VX2. Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

http://www.atribune....oads/l2mfix.exe
http://www.downloads....org/l2mfix.exe

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

Hi Rustymilo

Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter, then press any key to reboot your computer. After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder unless you are asked to do so!

Before I mentioned that whenever I delete any documents, pictures, etc. from my computer nothing showed up in the recycle bin, but now my recycle bin seems to be working properly again. I'm not sure if it not working before had anything to do with the trojan horse problem I have, but I decided I should mention it just incase.

Hi Rustymilo

Yes this infection disables the recycle bin

Please read through the instructions before you start (you may want to print this out).

Please set your system to show all files; Click here for how to do this if you're unsure.

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items.[/b]

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://red.clientapp...//www.yahoo.com
O1 - Hosts: 69.20.16.183 auto.search.msn.com

Click on {redFix Checked} and exit HijackThis.

Reboot into Safe Mode: see here if you don't know how to do this.

Using Windows Explorer, locate the following files/folders, and delete them. {redIf found}

C:\WINDOWS\system32\n20050308.exe<--Delete this file
C:\WINDOWS\isrvs\desktop.exe<--Delete the whole folder
C:\WINDOWS\isrvs\ffisearch.exe<--Delete the whole folder

C:\Program Files\Internet Optimizer\optimize.exe<--Delete the whole folder
C:\WINDOWS\isrvs\mfiltis.dll<--Delete this file
C:\WINDOWS\system32\enj8l11u1.dll<--Delete this file

Exit Explorer, and reboot as normal afterwards.

I ;) f you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log in this same topic, and let us know how your system's working. :tazz:

I followed the instructions about rebooting my computer in safe mode, but I'm not sure if it rebooted in safe mode or not. On the list, the closest thing that I saw to safe mode was failsafe, but since I didn't know what that was I didn't boot my computer up with it.
And when I try to delete some of the things, like for example, ffisearch I get this notice.

Error Deleting File or Folder
Cannot delete ffisearch: Access is denied.
Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use.

And here is my fresh HijackThis log:

Hi Rustymilo

How to use HijackThis Click Here. Go to Step Five: Posting a Hijack This Log.

Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode. In the four corners off the screen you will see safemode

I tried booting up in safemode again by doing what you said. But in the menu, safemode still isn't listed there. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Rustymilo

When you reboot tapping the F8 key you get a black screen with a menu list, write the list down and post the list here.
