New computer problem

Ok, my friend got a new case video card etc. basicly a new computer.

When he turns his computer on, its on for about 7 or so seconds and then shuts off. no Dos or anything.
:whistling: we do not know the problem, but im hoping you guys do.

no the fans are not working, only a light on the mother board

Have you checked the wiring to the fans as it is probably going straight to the temperature which makes it shut down

ok, now when he presses the power button the light on his motherboard turns on for less than a second
and yes the fans are wired in correctly

It shouldn't be, there should have been spacers, can you check for those
