I have come up with another problem with my Excel program. All of a sudden, I cannot open any of the spreadsheet files. I get the error message "Unable to read file". I get the same message when opening Excel, but after I click OK the program opens. The files will not open. I literally have hundreds of spreadsheets that I use and cannot afford to rebuild them from scratch again. Has anybody got any suggestions? I have already attempted to do an install repair from my "MS Office CD" but it did not help. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks,

OK are you trying to launch excel from the shortcut
or from start> programs>excel. If from a shortcut try from the start
programs> excel

I have tried in all ways.
A.) form the start menu
b.) from Short cut
c.) from my documents clicking on the excel file
I guess the best way is to try removing Excel and then reinstalling it.
