Please help!! I am working on a gateway flexatxstc 800Mhz computer. I can get into bios, the hard drive works on my other computer, the cdrom works as far as I know. Here is the problem: I installed a new hard drive, formatted on another computer and this machine will not boot from the hard drive or anything else. I have selected boot from the hard drive in the bios and I just get "_" flashing on the screen when it should be looking for the hard drive. I have selected boot from the cd and I get the same flashing on the screen, it does not even look to the cdrom. They are properly selected as master on separate cables. I have selected boot from floppy in the bios, no floppy activity. I am at the end of my rope with this computer. Am I doing something wrong. Is this a doorstop?

Thanks in advance.
