first it was just a few glitches and I used the repair option in Add/Remove programs to try to fix those problems, then it just got worse until eventually I couldn't open the software at all.
I've been cooresponding with their tech support for a couple of weeks and their last suggestion was what they call a "clean installation".
The steps are uninstall using add/remove programs, use their Clear Utility, go into program files and common files deleting Kodak files, then disk cleanup,
but the last suggestion they give is my question for you today, they say I need to go to task manager, the processes tab, and select all expcept explorer and choose End Task. Then reinstall the software.
I just am unsure of this, wouldn't this end all my security that's running in the background and/or any windows components? I'll have to go to their website to download the reinstall.
I dont' want to crash my pc. I don't always trust these tech people, the folks at HP lead me to use system restore once just to get a pre-installed program to working again. I didn't know what system restore would do at that time and we lost everything!!
So I'm hesitant to end all these processes that are running..... any advise on this or EasyShare Software would be appreciated.
Thanks!
