i whould have normally notified a mod to have moved this thread so your log could have been looked at in the malware forum, but now that acklan has responded to it, and you responded to it, and me responding to it now it already has 4 replies on the topic it will most likely be overlooked in the malware forum. I am not sure if you suspect it is malware, or whether there was some other reason you posted a HJT Log. if you do indeed suspect malware Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .
That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.
If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.

What type of connection do you have? DSL, Cable, ISDN, dialup,..? Are you using a router?

Miles Runner if you feel it is worth moving to the HJT forum a moderator can jail the last 4 relpies and move the topic. The only reason I posted to it was the staff had not moved it in over 8 hours and 30 minutes. Sorry if I stepped on toes.

Give this a try:

Download and install Tune Up 2006 Trial

Click on Clean up & Repair. Run TuneUp DiskCleaner. Delete all junk files. Afterwords, return to the Main Screen.

Click on Clean up & Repair. Run TuneUp RegistryCleaner. Fix all errors. Afterwords, return to the Main Screen.

Click on Optimize & Improve. Run TuneUp RegistryDefrag, which will take a few minutes and need a reboot.

After the reboot, start Tune Up again. Click on Optimize & Improve then click on TuneUp System Optimizer. Now click on Accelerate downloads and Internet surfing to accelerate downloads, select the speed just above your actual connection speed, this requires a reboot.

After the reboot, start Tune Up again. Click on Optimize & Improve then click on TuneUp System Optimizer. In the menu to the left called "Wizards", choose System Advisor. Note some of the advice it tells you.

If that doesn't work, who's your Internet Service Provider?

Not yet, this may be solved by doing a DNS flush.

Go to Start > Run and type command in the space provided. Press enter.

Type ipconfig /flushdns and press enter. (notice the space between ipconfig and /flushdns)

Now type exit and press enter. See if the problem still exists.

Aer you running Spybot or SpywareGuard? They block certain sites. While AOL should not be on the list it may have be added. Also check the Site list in the Priavcy tab in Internet Options in IE, and see if the sites are blocked there.

After carefully going back through your HijackThis log, I do see an infection. However, I'm not sure how bad it is or if it is the cause of your problem.

Please follow all the directions found here. After you get to step 5, if your problem is not resolved, do a scan with HijackThis and then save a log. Take the log and ATTACH IT (do not post) to your next post here. In order to attach it, you will either need to change the .log extension to .txt, or you will have to put the log into a compressed (zipped) folder.

We do not like to post hijackthis logs in sections other than the malware forum as we do not want to encourage people to post malware issues in this forum.

If I see that the infection is still there, I will redirect you to the malware forum so you can get properly cleaned by a malware expert. If it is gone, we will continue troubleshooting.
