Firefox Crashes

Hi,

im having a lot of trouble with firefox recently. Every time when i try to watch a youtube video it will either just freeze or perform an illegal operation and i'm forced to close it. Also, i often get a message saying that my shockwave plugin has an error and strongly advises me to close firefox.

Anyone know what to do to fix these?
