hey,

my pc is dead, plz help me.

i was playing NFSU2 , when i took a break but left the game running. when i came back, there was my favourite blue (blue only, not text) screen of dead. i restarted, after which i saw the screen from my motherboard, then came the list with installed drives and at the bottem it said:

error loading operating systems.

it was at the exact same spot as where it tells you to take out the floppy disk that you have when booting up.

i restarted a couple of times, made no difference. can somebody please help me.

thanks anyway.

my system:
amd athalon xp 2800+
ati radeon 9600 pro
iiyama LS704UT
asus A7V8X-X mobo
windows xp pro

Try booting up in Safe Mode. Tap the F8 key as your computer is starting up.

Choose Last known good configuration from the menu and see if it starts.

If not, do you have your Windows disk or a recovery disk?

i don't have a windows or recovery disk.

if this is a custom built machine...then one would assume that it didn't come with windows preinstalled...SO how did you install windows without a disk/

We here at GeeksToGo will not assist you with issues relating to copied, pirated, or in any other way, stolen programs. It is a direct violation of our TOS (Terms Of Service) to offer any assistance in this matter.

You will need to understand that, when it comes to operating systems, borrowing is the same thing as stealing. XP is licensed for ONE computer (unless you have a volume license key). It cannot be installed on multiple computers at once. By "Borrowing" your friends cd you have (maybe knowingly..maybe not) pirated the operating system. We will not help you with any issues regarding this machine untill you rectify this by buying your own copy.
