Recently, my DVD (D:) and my CD (E:) drive have disappeared from My Computer. I have tried to reinstall them by using files from the internet, but it has been unsuccessful. My DVD drive is JLMS XJ-HD166S and the CD drive is LITE-ON LTR-48327S. If someone could tell me the problem and ehlp me fix it, it would be greatly appreciated.

IT might be a hardware problem..Try changing the data cables..See in BIOS menu if it is being detected or not
if not then its probably a hardware problem...try changing the data cables and properly insert them in IDE port

If yes then its due to software MAY BE a third party Virtual drive or any thing like it
download the software from the link that have been posted above
