Hi

Last weekend I believe I was infected with the Dr Watson post mortem bug. (or so the error message stated)
Downloaded all the programs you suggested and got rid of lots of "spyware?? Approximately 2,000---even though I have always run NAV -have xpsp2--and are using a firewall and linksys modem.." My Computer" finally opened up.

Now this weekend I'm trying to finish some of my projects and "My computer" either won't open and if it does it freezes. No notification of any error happening this time.
2) my dvd/cd drives say they are busy and won't open up, just before they freeze the computer
3)my NAV keeps going into "not protected mode" / email not protected---is AVG taken over everything and overriding NAV?
4)tried to get Trend housecalls to scan and it says page not found--maybe again something has taken over and is stopping the AV from working??

I restored all my quarantines trying to see if some .dll or other file was taken out and things are still not working .

Now I'm afraid to rerun all the AV/ adaware/ hijack this --softwear in case it screws something else up if this was caused by running all those programs.

PLEASE HELP, this is my husbands work computer and he will be EXTREMELY upset with me if this is not fixed by Monday.

There must have either been a glitch last weekend or reinstalling all the "spyware" that lavasoft found, fixed some of my problems.
"My computer" now works as well as my dvd drives. But will this same problem reoccur if I use Ad aware again.?

Something is still overriding my NAV and turnig off the autoprotect as well as email scanning and I can''t turn them back on.

My AVG still keeps popping up with numerous Java/Byte verify virus' which cannot be deleted ,healed or moved to the vault. It just says "request action is not available for this object"

My NAV also finds approx 100 lop.com adawares that cannot be deleted by NAV, and I don't understand what I'm supposed to do when I go to the lop.com section in symantec . Are these slowing down my computer as well?

Now, you only are supposed to have one AV installed on a computer. So you should pick which one you want to keep and uninstall the other.
