The file you posted appears to be an error message repository of some sort, I don't believe it's relevant to the issue at hand. Before reinstalling the driver, I'd like you to try one more thing:

Click on Start > Search > For Files and Folders

Select 'All Files and Folders'

In the 'All or Part of the file name' box, type the following:

nero*.txt

make sure you have the asterisk.

Set it to 'Look in' local hard drives and hit search. Wait for it to finish, and it might have located the nero log file for you. If so, post it to your next reply. If not, I have a few more ideas

Okay, I've done a little more digging. This is quoted from Neros website:

At the end of any write attempt with Nero/Nero Express or Nero, our software will ask you if you wish to Save, Print, or Discard the log file from the write attempt.

Try to write a CD again, with nero. When it asks you about the log file, tell it to save to the desktop or somewhere else convenient, then attach it to your reply.

Try this:

Download the Nero General Clean Tool, being sure to read all of the instructions that precede the download link. The instructions/download link are located here:

http://ww2.nero.com/..._CleanTool.html

After that is done, reboot, and reinstall Nero (v7 if you want) and try again.

This should remove all traces of all Nero programs from your PC, after which you will have a clean install of Nero.

You've already used the clean tool? Okay. Did you reboot after cleaning and before reinstalling?

What else have you tried?

Curiouser and curiouser.

Go to control panel>system>hardware>device manager

scroll through the list and look for anything with an icon next to it, like a question mark/exclamation point. Anything?

In all honesty, I'm running out of ideas.

Download Doiwnload this file http://www.dougknox...._CD-DVD-Fix.zip and then run the exe file in the zip archive. you can can it with Antivirus but the file is OK. The program fixes the upper filter and lower filter. Sometimes Windows messes them up, and then you CD/DVD driver dissapears form my computer or you CD/DVD burner is recognised as only a reader or other stupid thing.
