Vista version Performance differences

From what it sounds like...there are several levels of Vista from.. basic to ulitmate ( just like XP home pro). It seems as though u wont get as much performance if u go w/ basic or will they perform the same and that the ultimate will just have more options? I dont really wont 2 dish out 400 (us) for the ultimate

The version of Windows Vista will not affect performance or security. It will only affect features. :whistling:
