I have an issue with the security features of microsoft windows XP. A little while ago, I re-installed windows on a new hard drive, knowing a fresh copy is better than just adding the drive on the side. Unfortunately, I had a large number of very high quality digital images on the old hard drive, under the old operating system, and I transferred them to this new drive, and now cannot access them. I have no idea how to get to them, and do not want to lose these pictures! What can I do to gain access to the files?

Thanks,

Nick

Hi nxavierm...

You'll need to Take Ownership of the files before you can access them.
