my laptop keeps turning off----HELP

I'm not sure what is goin on but, for some reason my laptop keeps shutting off...i was at windows update page and all of a sudden while it's trying to determine what files i need the laptop just turns off...

Does this happen when the notebook (laptop) is plugged in and/or on battery power?

It may be overheating, so you could try going to a local PC shop to see what they offer for notebook cooling.
