new motherboard well not new but new to me and now i get an error

When I start my PC it says :" BIOS ROM checksum error. Please insert system
disk and press enter"

i dont know what to do please help me i dont know what was on the comp before what i did was put a mother board into a different comp and now all i get is this error and i put ram/mem chips i had sitting around the house ??? dont know what to do

You could try reflashing your bios, which might not even be possible depending on what type of mobo it is. What brand/model number?

not sure its at my buddies at the moment but i will call him and find out and repost when i get it keep an eye on the thread should be tommorrow
