Streaming video problems

I am unable to view videos on the internet. I have tried it in both mozilla and internet explorer and it does not work. I will get the windows media player showing on the site but nothing starts up and it just stays a black screen. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this and if i have to reset something or something like that.

Welcome Androsity!

in IE go to tools>internet options>advanced>scrool down to multimedia and and make sure the browser isnt blocking the video. also do you have any kind of anti virus software or a firewall?
