Are you using the most updated drivers? When did this start? Has the game ever worked properly? Have you made any changes to your system recently?

you are using the intergrated graphics, and worse its the unichrome s3 video. Its great for surfing the web and watching videos. However, it is a terrible gaming card. In addition you are playing on a semperon. While I think its better than intel's solution, it doesn't have the power (computational, math coprocessor). rts games in general are computational heavy.

my recomendation is to upgrade your video card if possible.

upgrade your memory. At the moment you have 512megs of ram with 64megs of it dedicated to the video. Its what they call "shared" memory. If you went to a gig of ram you would see improvements all across the board.

(when it lags, do you notice hdd activity? if so then it is swapping data between memory and hard drive)

Please respond to starjax's post as well, however, what makes you think that you messed it up?
