:tazz:

my computer is so messed up. it has so many things wrong with it its unbelieveable. first of all, when i try to open My Computer, Search, Recycle Bin, ect. my desktop freezes and shortly after an error message occurs labled as Dr Watson Post Mortem Debugger. i have read other posts and i think others have the same problem.

also, i know i have the following programs on my computer: Home Search Assisstant, Search Extender, and Shopping Wizard. I have done some reading on how to get rid of them but am clueless in the process.

i cannot seem to download the HIJACK THIS program. i think i will need live help while downloading the program because i am having alot of trouble doing so.

if anyone could help me i would be so greatful. i cannot explain how much grief my computer has been giving me lately. if anyone could post some EASY step-by-step instructions, in which are idiot proof, it would help so much. thank you

ready to give up...

Go to add/remove programs and see if you can uninstall some of those programs.

Please delete your temporary files. Double Click My Computer (WinXP: Navigate to Start --->My Computer)
You will see an icon representing your harddrive (most likely C: Drive) Right Click on the hard drive icon and click Properties at the
bottom of the fly out window. One the very first tab (General) you will see a button labeled "Disk Cleanup"...click that button.
Make sure the following are checked:
Downloaded Program Files
Temporary Internet Files and
Recycle Bin

Click OK and Disk Cleanup will delete those files for you.

Try renaming hijack this before you download it.
