I love it. But if you pay the $30\mo extra they will gladly unblock these ports.

"Web browsers use Hypertext Transport Protocol (HTTP) to communicate with web servers. In addition to protecting bandwidth by preventing customers from running high-traffic web servers, we can stop many destructive worms that spread through security holes in web server software."

Well, that is a good notion and something for me to look at as time passes; currently, i have really no dire need foo it. Although, cox is one of the few great internet providers out there, and me and you are just lucky enough to have it.

Amen brother (or sister). I was so impressed with COX's service I switched everything over when it becaome available. TV\Internet\VoIP. I was a Beta tester for the internet back in 1997 and haven't looked back since. I have had VoIP since 2004 and despite the teleco's ads it has worked flawlessly.
There are ways around the blocks and I have used those techniques to see if they work. All in all I could not name a better HSI ISP, IMHO.

Brother is good enough. It's pretty unfortunate for those states that don't have it as a provider; which i am guessing is the east coast, or somewhere close. Oh yeah, php modding is really tedious and annoying

Also, i am a bit curious as to the information of cox's bandwidth, if you know anything about it could you tell me a thing or two; or, maybe i should just look.

I am in the midwest area, Nebraska to be preice, as well, that is helpful, but i am more in tune to what other internet users will expect in terms of speed while browsing on a site hosted from a home server with internet provided by cox. Thanks, Jon. Actually, i believe i found what i need here
