Well, when im trying to install windows 98, and i come up to A:\D:\WIN98|format C: part and type that in..
this is what happens :

Formatting 19,46.52M
Trying to recover allocation unit 14,904

Not ready
Format terminated.

Any help?! :whistling:

Another thing is that I have to Drives D, and E. But on the tutorial it only has one. So im not sure if that may of done something. :S

Messages such as "Trying to recover allocation unit" mean that the drive is developing bad sectors on it, and they multiply like rabbits.

The formatting of the drive has stopped because in a nutshell, the drive is unformattable. In other words, its partially dead. Replacement is all you can do.
