Windows merging

Hopefully this is an easy fix. My web pages merge into one whenever I open another screen. i.e. reading emails in yahoo I'll click on a hyperlink, it'll take me to the page then yahoo will go away...then I have to log into yahoo again.

On a web page, click tools, internet options, advanced, remove the tick for re-use windows to launch shortcuts, click apply, close IE, open IE
