hi all..... just downloaded windows vista from microsoft using there download manager but when it finished downloading it downloaded as a dlm file and said that there was a problem becouse something with that name already exsists and it wont let me open it in any burning or extracting software. do i have to download it again or is there a way around this?

...never seen that happen (but the windows download manager hasn't really been there for long)...i would try downloading the image again because it should be downloading as an .iso image

yea i thought about that.... at the end of the file name it has .iso... and the size is 3.2 gig (appearntly) i opend it with a programe called undisker but all it had in there was a txt doc... thanks for the advice!

dlm would stand for "download manager"

I saw this on a download when I downloaded an earlier beta, but it didn't download the final few bytes--so what you have is an incomplete download

Do an MD5 checksum check on your downloaded file. I did that on mine and found it was only 99.7% correct.
