Does anyone get an 'Error on page' message when using the web? The error comes with a yellow triangle in the bottom left hand corner. Is this linked to IE 6.0 and how do i prevent it from happening?

Does the error come up on a certain sites or all sites you visit? When you click "Refresh" does the page continue to load properly? Let me just verify that you are using IE6?

It happens on various sites. When i click 'Refresh' it does usually load up the page, but not always. Sometimes i click the 'Back' button and try again.
It is IE6.

Are you using a firewall? What firewall are you using? I am sorry for all the questions, but first we have to detect what may be causing this problem.

Thanks :whistling:

Don't worry Rebrov2004, you don't sound like a novice at all, many users come across the same problems as you.

I can't really explain how you can tell if you have a firewall or not, but I am going to assume that you do NOT have one. At the end after we have got your problem fixed I will give you a list of free firewalls you may consider downloading and installing.

For now could you please download Firefox:

http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/

Firefox is another browser used my many people, but we are just downloading it so that we can see if there is a problem with your IE or if there is a problem on the system. Once again I am sorry for all the steps you have to follow, please keep in mind this is so that we can pin point the exact problem.

Once you have downloaded Firefox and installed it, please try and access a few sites that where not working in IE, and let me know if there is any difference.

Hey again Rebrov2004, ok so it is not your browser it is something else on the system. I am going to ask you to go to the malware forum, just to make sure your system is clean, at the same time once you have post a log through please post the link here so I can also keep a watch on it. I can then also if there is any programs that may be conflicting with your browser.

Please read this: Read This Before Posting A Hijackthis Log (Click on the link)

That will give you steps that will help you clean up 70% of the problems yourself. Then please download "Hijackthis" and run Hijackthis with log. Save the log file here: Malware Removal - HiJackThis Logs Go Here

When you have followed all these steps. A Geeks To Go Staff Member will help you fix your problem.

(Note: Please be patient, the "Malware Forum" is a very busy place and a two or three day wait is not unusual.)

Thank you and goodluck. :whistling:
