Hello all again :D

I am having a new issue... :D

Ok, just let me know if this is out of your league... :D

I downloaded "Yahoo Messenger BETA," I already had the regular Yahoo Messenger... :D

Well, sense I downloaded the new version, I am not able to hear my friend on the mic, or anyothers.. :P
I have been getting this Error message saying: (Voice Server returned an unexpected error) :o

My friend is not having any problems with her new upgrade, so I am thinking it is within my puter... :D

I also have a program that makes my puter go faster "which is <_< a joke" called SlipStream, and was told that it could be the problem, so I shut it off, and still it did not help. :D

I have went to Add/Remove and removed the new program and then reinstalled it and still, :D I could not hear anyone chat...

OMG, about to throw my puter...
Please help me if you can....

Thanks a bunch guys!!
Staci :D

"BETA" is not recommended for regular users. Uninstall the "BETA" and reinstall the latest "stable" version to see if that helps. <_<

Hello Nathan,

You had to know that I was going to ask this question...

Why is it "Not recommended for regular users?"

I know the old one worked fine, but I really like this new one...
But if I have to get rid of it, I will...

But again, what is BETA actually and why it is not recommended for use by me "regular user"
My friend is a regular user...

Help me understand... ty for you help

My puter is really chatting at me and running real slow...

Could this be from the BETA version?

Beta versions are new versions of programs that are not yet complete. They will have bugs and errors that the company hasn't fixed yet. When they get these problems worked out, they'll release it as a stable version. Go ahead and uninstall the beta and install the latest stable version. To see why your computer is running slow, run a new hijackthis scan and post the results. <_<

Yeah, you got some problems <_<. To start off, SlipStream is a bad program and not completely off your system. To fix it, run the LSP fix from http://cexx.org/lspfix.htm.

Then, to finish off SlipStream, reboot in safe mode (by tapping F8 at startup and select safe mode from the menu), and remove the following files:

C:\Program Files\SlipStream Web Accelerator\ <-- This Folder
C:\Program Files\support.com\ <-- This Folder

Next, please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {4115122B-85FF-4DD3-9515-F075BEDE5EB5} - C:\PROGRAM FILES\SLIPSTREAM WEB ACCELERATOR\PBHELPER.DLL

O4 - Startup: SlipStream Web Accelerator.lnk = C:\Program Files\SlipStream Web Accelerator\slipaccel.exe
O9 - Extra button: ComcastHSI (HKLM)
O9 - Extra button: Support (HKLM)
O9 - Extra button: Help (HKLM)

Reboot your PC.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log. :D

Before I go and delete the Intergate, I want you to know that is my Internet connection...

Is this still safe to delete?

Slow a little here, "light weight" <_<
