Something is wrong starting up. Suddenly my computer starts normally, flickers, and switches to this huge format. Our computer is set up with normal sized text and icons, but suddenly its huge. Is this safe mode? Has anyone had this problem?

Hello BarbyChicago and Welcome to Geeks To Go!

Sounds like your graphic card. What is your resolution set at? Did you go into start>settings>control panel>display>settings and see if it changed your resolution from to 32 bit high color to 16 bit color? A graphic drivers, whether they be on board or graphic card can cause this.

Try to run System Restore, which enables the system to go back to a date before U had a problem. Everyone forgets about the most popular fix. Is simply running System Restore.
