I have run various scans including Spybot, AdAware, Norton Antivirus and Webroot and the results are that my computer now has no infections. However, when I click on IE my browser goes to ssyssecurity site.com/ instead of yahoo.com or google.com as I have set in Internet Options. After my browser opens with ssyssecurity site.com/ I go back to Internet Options and it shows that my browser is still set to google or yahoo. What is causing this and what do I do. I am an extreme novice but I am determined to get this figured out. This is the second time in a short time this has happened. Please help anyone!!

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
