memory stick issue -- PLEASE HELP!

I have XP home edition. i recently installed two 1 gig ddram sticks into my e-machine and now recieve this error. any help would be appreciated! :whistling:

what is the make and model and full specs on the ram you got?
do you know what motherboard make and model you h ave?
what model emachines is this? (you probably bought the wrong ram)

Motherboard is mbk7mne64/1.1a
e-machines w series w3052
memory is samsung 1GB 2Rx8Pc2 4200-444-12-e3

this memory seems to work, the system boots up and everything, but I keep getting this error message from my previous post.

there's your problem...your motherboard supports DDR memory...you bought DDR2

memory is samsung 1GB 2Rx8Pc2 4200-444-12-e3

...in fact you got ddr2 pc2 4200 ram

http://www.emachines...amp;model=W3052 actually..there's the specs for your machine...clearly says DDR...not DDR2
