I have XP home edition. i recently installed two 1 gig ddram sticks into my e-machine and now recieve this error. any help would be appreciated!

what is the make and model and full specs on the ram you got?
do you know what motherboard make and model you h ave?
what model emachines is this? (you probably bought the wrong ram)

Motherboard is mbk7mne64/1.1a
e-machines w series w3052
memory is samsung 1GB 2Rx8Pc2 4200-444-12-e3

this memory seems to work, the system boots up and everything, but I keep getting this error message from my previous post.

there's your problem...your motherboard supports DDR memory...you bought DDR2

...in fact you got ddr2 pc2 4200 ram
