Computer not turning off

I am having problems with my computer shutting down i have no clue why it wont. I have ran some scans using ad aware and spy bot search and destroy but they have found nothing. When i do want to shut the computer off it seems to get stuck at a blue screen that has the windows picture that says microst windows XP. Once i let it sit there for an hour, hopeing that it would find a way to turn off, and it was just slow, there was no luck. I then thought that it might be windows updates that i need but i am caught up on all of them. I have run a hijackthis log file and will attach it to see if there is anything that someone can do to see if they can help me fix it. A while back i also go a message that says, that my virtual memory is low, i went through and cleaned off my computer from unwanted programs and i have seem to fix that problem, but i still have a problem shutting this computer off. I know its not a good idea to shut the computer of by just pushing the power button be it seems to be the only way that it will turn off. Also when i try to turn it off it will prompt me about explorer.exe being a non responsive program and i have to press the end now button, to even get to the blue screen. Any help in this matter WILL BE APPECIATED PLEASE HELP

You are probably better off starting in the malware forum and once you get a clean bill of health there youcan return here.

Please follow all the directions found here. After you get to step 5, if your problem is not resolved, post a HijackThis log in the Malware forum. If your problem persists after getting a clean bill of health from a malware expert, return here and we'll continue troubleshooting.

Keep in mind, the malware forum is very busy and can take up to 5 days to receive a reply. There is a special forum called The Waiting Room if you've been waiting for 3 or more days. You can put a link to your topic & a short description of your problem and someone will get with you soon.
