When I first purchased this laptop [XP on a HP] I assigned "my name" as the owner. However, I'd like the ability to change that name, so that photos or documents I send will have the name of my company in the file properties. Is there a way to get back to the "beginning" so to speak in Windows XP home and change the name? I tried to simply rename it but an error came up and said "nope you can not do this this .. this is a Windows system folder and its required.

Thanks in advance

See if this is what you want to do:

How to Change Name and Company...

Be sure to back up the registry.
