Could not find COM port....

Dear, Friends!
I have laptop HP Pavilion xf145, when I go to device manager I could found installed modem, in its properties I see that the device is working properly:-), but in Ports there is no any COM ports installed, very strange for me (only ECP port)! How could I decide this problem because I could not install internet connection via dial-up.
