Ok this all started a few hours ago, I was trying to download a file from Download.com. I got a trojan horse warning from my Avast virus scanner. So I did run a virus check. This is where I did something stupid. I did a virus scan while in safe mode. There I saw the two paths for the virus trojan horses. I thought why not delete them directly so I did the first one. The second I messed up big time and deleted something in the explorer directory. When I returned to normal mode for windows...A few things were different. the recycle bin icon was gone. The start > All programs will not list all my programs. My wireless connection will not start up at booting. I ran two stupid registry programs. Nothing. I tried to restore to an earlier time and nothing. It wouldn't let me. I am pulling my hair out because I am stuck. here's my hijackthis log:

Please go to the Malware Forum and follow the instructions you'll find there.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- post a hijackthis log in THAT forum. Do Not reply to or "bump" your own topic...if it shows a reply, it may be overlooked as one that is being worked on.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
