Recently I have been getting a lot of pop up windows advertising WinAntiVirus software and scans. I'm pretty certain this is something that was packaged in with something else I downloaded - how do I get rid of these pop ups? Thank you,

Do you have Spyware protection? It sounds like there's the possibility that you have adware installed on this computer, which is generating the pop-ups. I highly suggest posting your HijackThis logfile in our malware section, where a Geeks to Go! professional will analyze your log and help you remove any nasties.
