During all forms of booting up, including safe mode, command prompt mode, vga mode, last good config, etc. it freezes at the "Windows is starting up" screen while waiting for usrs to show up. I can't get anywhere on it, except maybe the bios, any ideas?

Windows XP (recovery) CD might come in handy around about now. Try a "repair".
