Any help appreciated

When i attempt to open IE, i get a window displaying , "2wire escessive sessions warning" "Your home portal 100HG has intercepted web page request to provide you with important message. The following device "the name of my computer" has a blaster type virus"

I am unable to access IE. I have run my spy sweeper and norton to no avail BUT i can't update the definitions on either because this message is not allowing me to connect to the internet via DSL.

Any suggestions? I'm to the point where i may actually bring it to the local shop.

Let us take a closer look at what is running on your PC. We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool (HiJackThis) and post a log as a new topic in the Hijack This forum. It will get a better response there from the people most qualified to analyze logs.
