i keep getting the windows genuine advantage message
i went to the microsoft site and disabled it but that just removed the messages
is there any way for me to start getting the security updates?
or do i have to download them manually now?
would appreciate some advice

well, first you might not be using a genuine windows.

where did you get the windows from (built in ,disk,download,friend)????

got it from a friend
it was in a cd
dont know if its fake or not
but is there any way i can start getting the updates again?
