Access - Active X Messages

I am a new Access user and I am having trouble creating a new data base. I have used Access a little on other computers, but when I am trying to apply what I have learned at work I keep getting stuck.

I have created a basic table in Access, but when I go to create a form or a report from the info in the table, I keep getting messages that say Active X componet can't create object.

Is there a setting on this computer that I need to change?

Please help!!!!
