Hello everyone,

It has come to that blessed day where I need to re-install windows. While a pain, my main concern comes from my current iTunes configuration and how well it will fare the re-install.

I have iTunes installed on my primary C: booting hard drive
All music is stored on a secondary hard drive G: (which will not be touched)

What is the best way to backup my iTunes database to preserve all of the tag formatting that I have done and not having to re-import all of my music? Is it as simple as backing up the iTunes db file in the main iTunes folder?

Thanks for your help in advance!

Cheers,
Tom
